Do you use your personal vehicle for company trips?

how much do they reimburse you for gas?

i get .43 after the first 40 miles. and am just wondering if that is appropriate. I live in San Antonio.

In Britain, you need at least Occasional Business Use on your insurance.  I used to get 25p a mile five or six years ago, I suppose about 60 cents in those days when petrol was about £2.50 a gallon.

Depending on the gas prices the mileage varies too. My company pays for even 1 mile of use $0.54 since gas prices are here $4.15

But yeah thats about right only thing is its pretty stupid of them to pay you only after the first 40 miles.
