Question:

Do you wake up just before the alarm clock goes off ?

I always wake up just before. If it is set for, say, 06:00 I will wake up at about 05:55. It doesn't make any difference what time I have to get up, so it is nothing to do with waking at the same time each day. My waking hours can be highly irregular.

However, if I do not set the alarm then I will wake up too late !

What's it all about ?

  1. I experience the same. I think it has something to do with your subconscious. When you set your alarm, you are telling your brain the time you want to get up, which is tucked away in your subconscious and it wakes you up around that time. The day you do not set your alarm, you have also not set your mental clock.

  2. LOL no idea but i do that exact same thing and its very annoying..

  3. I had experienced this through out my life as I used to work in shifts.

  4. Tonight, try setting the alarm on a clock then remove the power source, or batteries, and see what happens.

The next night try writing down the time you want to wake up on a slip of paper and see what happens.

Think of the money you could save on clocks and electricity.

You may be able to teach this to others, make an info-mercial, and market your strategies.

However, if you wake up several times an hour to see what time it is, then you will have to keep your day job.

  5. i think it is because you know you have to wake up at this time so subconsciously you wake up around that time, but i not really sure
