A friend of my grandmother's has just built me a dollhouse and I have to finish it (wallpapering, carpeting, furnishing, lighting...ect.) I would like to know whether or not you set the wallpaper in first or if you put the carpet in first.

  1. Definetely do the walls first, because then you will have less to cut if you installed carpet first. Now then, if you are running wiring to the ceiling or floors, you may want to consider running the wires before you paper or carpet.   If you don't want the wires covered over by wallpaper, you can always paint the wires the same color of the wallpaper and install them over it.

  2. Seems to me that doing the wall before the floor is always better for large and small..     Walls floors baseboards..  Thats what I would do.

  3. Wallpaper first so you can cover the bottom edge with the carpet.

    .

  4. First, prime all the wood.

    Next run your electric.

There are two methods of lighting, copper tape, or hard wire, if you choose hardwire, you will need to run it with the baseboards, or create channels in the wood first.

    Third apply the wallpaper.

Then put down your carpeting (or wooden floor)

Finally mount any baseboards and crown molding.

There are several Yahoo Groups that can help you.  I suggest one called The Camp.  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/THECAMP/
