Are you people really that ignorant? Except for Totally Blunt, none of you "Muslims" seem to be informed about the Chechens or the Uyghurs apart from knowing that they are "Muslim"s. This is how it is right, you just see a group of people as "Muslim" or "Non-Muslim". Get educated a bit, the Chechens are the last people to be called Russians. My ancestors are probably turning upside down in their graves now, the Chechens aren't even Slavic! For your personal safety I'd really suggest you not to make a remark as such in the presence of a *real* Chechen. And the Uyghurs are not Chinese either!

Yes, yes, yes Chechnya should be and will be independent one day. There will come a day when people will be wandering in the streets of Grozni without fearing to be killed by a Russian bomb! Perhaps, we won't need to call the city "Grozny" anymore then. A shame that disgusting Arab vahabism spread among Chechens after the death of Dudayev but I know the Chechens are finding the *right* way of struggle once again.

Don't know really.  

I've met some non-muslim russians and they said they (the typical russian) get along fine with muslims...so i'm no seeing the reason for the Chechnyan's to break off.  If everything is fine, i'm not sure if all the death can be justified.  

I got no idea what goes on in china.

Yeah, they deserve independence. Those are the people who suffer at the hands of tyrants, and have a right to live their lives according to Islam. Just like we Pakistanis struggled for independence and got it, they deserve it too. If the U.N can accept East Timoor independence, this should be accepted too.

I can't agree with the Chinese and Russian governments if they wish to keep their country united through coercion and genocide.

May Allah bless the freedom fighters of Islam, grant them what they seek and have them use it wisely when they get it. (Ameen)

All Muslims, no matter where they may be; Russian, Chinese, Palestinian. I am blessed to be where i am as a muslim. i would like for it to be the same for everyone else.
