Question:

Do you want Yahoo to merge with Microsoft, or remain distinct?

I became a Yahoo member because I wanted to diversify my avenues to the internet. I also have a Microsoft account, but I use it for a different purpose. While stock holders of Yahoo see the money they will gain if Microsoft buys Yahoo, I am somewhat distraught--I prefer to have my distinct accounts. What about you?

  1. Simple.  Once Microsoft and Yahoo become synonyms, just make a google account and you once again have diversity.  There is no monopoly in this area and there probably won't be for a while.

  2. I think AOL will make Yahoo a better offer.

  3. Doesn't everyone merge with whatever monopoly pays them more money?

I think I'm going to give up, and live in Amsterdam.

  4. Oh God, please NO!

That is a scary, scary thought.  Too much power in one hand....

Who will check the balance of power?
