I mostly want to be successful because alot of people can't. But respect is another obsession i have. Also, life is easier when u are successful, u can relax more and retire with alot of money. Maybe i just think this because i have been told this, i have no experience.

First you need to decide what your definition of SUCCESS is.  Does it mean making a lot of money or making a living at something you really like to do?  Does it mean becoming famous, having your face in the papers or being recognized when you go anywhere.  

I worked for 32 years as a teacher.  I knew when I was about 10 or 12 that I wanted to be a teacher.  I knew it would also give me a way of making a living and supporting myself if I didn't marry.  I would consider myself successful.  I now am retired and doing something else I have wanted to do since I was about 20.  That is have my own place where I can keep my horses and work with them (breeding, riding and some training).
