Question:

Do you want to go back to a simpler time?

All this modern technology seems to make life more hectic not simpler. Work weeks are becoming longer, Sunday is rarely used for rest, and even chain stores are making their employees work on holidays.

I miss the days when a person didn't feel obligated to take their cell phone EVERYWHERE, when Sundays were for family, and you planned ahead for the stores to be closed on holidays.

  1. I am with you.  I liked it when things were less complicated and so modern

  2. nope.

THe past was not as simple as ppl today make it seem.

  3. well it is what it is...

  4. If we did, this site wouldn't exist.  Then you wouldn't be able to ask the question!

  5. A thorough study of history will demonstrate that there is no such thing as a "simpler time."  Every era has its issues.  Lest we forget, 100 years ago, people routinely 12-14 hour days with only a half day off.  Kids as young as 8 worked in factories instead of going to school. Farmers and ranchers didn't work a 9 to 5 sort of day either. I recommend you read the book The Way We Never Were by Stephanie Koontz, and you'll see how people really lived in the so-called "simpler times."
