Reasoning with the Voice of Reason

"You're supposed to be writing."

Shut up .You're not the boss of me!

"Actually I am .*sigh* You never listen to the Voice of Reason."

What if you're not the Voice of Reason?

What if you're the Voice of Unreason?

"Unreason?... I'm not being unreasonable."

"Your acting crazy."

I am not!

"Yes you are..You're aruging with yourself and losing."

I'm not losing..You're losing!

"That is correct."

Ha! So you agree I'm winning.

"No."

But you said you were losing so I must be winning.

"No we are both losing."

How so?

"Well the person reading this is winning."

What if they are losing.. would we be winning then?

"No. If the reader was losing then we would all be losing."

Who says?!

"So says the Voice of Reason."

Okay now your being unreasonable.

You are now the Voice of Unreason.

"Impossible."

There is no winning woth you is there?

"Ah so you finally understand."

  6. A most interesting viewpoint.  Frankly, we all have these arguments and conversations (within ourselves) if we are truly sane anyway, but we all fear we'll be thought to be MAD!  But I'm so glad you've been brave and posted this! :O))))

    Seriously, this is quite entertaining to read and I like it.  Number one, it makes sense, and number two that bothers me!!!! :O))))))

  10. Excellent dialogue poem, reminds me of stuff I used to right, all controversial and interesting with an end that wasn't really an end, and an understanding that drove one to madness. This was hysterical...reminding me of many conversations with myself, and with you, oddly enough.
