Question

So this is the CREATIVE WRITING experiment. Please follow my rules or don't bother writing.

I will write the first line of a short story. You will add one sentence. Keep the language clean, not too rude and use good grammar. No huge run on sentences. You can add an additional sentence ONLY after another writer has contributed.

Please do not conclude the story (don't kill everyone off). Fantasy and imagination appreciated, but keep it somewhat practical.

Most Importantly: Tell your friends, and HAVE FUN!

trying to follow rules...is francis him? or a her? would have been fun, sorry. and , may i say you are a bit arrogant

All of her retainers were strangely absent.

Frances/Francis...question does state that Francis was a woman.)
