  1. Odds are against Monfils, but u never know, anything can happen.By the way, Federer is a set down against Gonzalez and things aint looking pretty for him.

U  never kno though, for sure FedEx will step it up in the next set but still its scary.

  2. Yeah, the French will surely want Monfils to win but Ferrer got the more experience & will get to win & face Fed next.

  3. The crowd should be firmly behind Monfils, but with the fickle French you never know, they could turn on him on a dime.  Especially if he is winning, then starts losing.  They tend to go nuts against their own players when that happens.  Reference any of Amelie Mauresmo's nose dives and you'll know what I'm talking about. Or when Mary Pierce, who is half French and half American, but plays for France and won the French Open in 2000 to give France their first champion there since Yannick Noah, got booed during her victory speech by the crowd because she said half of her speech in English (the first half was in French) so that her boyfriend at the time, pro baseball player Robby Alomar, could understand what she was saying.

  4. For this match I think we will see fair support.  Good run by Monfils, but Ferrer should really win this.  He's not only in a different level and a top clay courter, but he is one of the complete ones.  Fitness, mentally strong, power, offense/defense, and court awareness.  He's also becoming more and more all-around, all-court.
