Do you watch these shows to help you discipline your kids as well?

It's helpful to see how other parents work to improve their communications and the children improve their behaviors. It's important the children understand there is a parent who sets boundaries and has time for fun, too.

Every family is different.  I do get some pointer and tips from them, like the time out situation and such.  But I really hope my family are not as bad as thoes though.  I think that they have a lot of good pointer, but don't take it all seriously.

I watch those shows, but not to help me. I mostly do it because I am entertained by other people's stupidity. It is amazing how horrible these parents are. Man, you should have to get a license to have a kid. LOL!

I watch them to see that some parents are horrible at raising children. I use to be a nanny and could have raise those children better than their parent's. Now I am a young mom and proud of how good of a job I am doing. It is entertaining to watch.

sometimes. i learned alot from watching that show. i do use some techniques.  i have weaned myself from yelling.  i do not yell anymore, it makes you look like your out of control.  i am consistents with my punishment.

it shows you how your kids can behaive if you are not balancing the love for your child and the need to punish when needed.

No i do not watch these shows to help me. i can take care of my kids and discipline them without watching the shows. the parents they feature are horrible and do not know how to take care of their children

No, I watch them to help my superiority complex.  I feel infinitely better as a parent watching those s***w-ups.

I basically watch them to get a good laugh and to make sure I don't make any of the mistakes the families make.
