I wear contacts all the time and I cant get my self to wear glasses. I've only worn glasses when at home. I don't know why I feel so uncomfortable wearing it. So God Bless contact lenses....

  1. I have a fairly high perscription (-5.50) with astigmatism (the doctors keep telling me my eye "isn't ready" for the astigmatism lens, although I've got halos around lights, so my astigmatism isn't corrected). Contacts make this uncorrected astigmatism less severe, so I agree with your "God bless contacts" claim. Just a bit of a warning though, you shouldn't wear contact lenses for too long, as it can deprive your eye of it's much needed oxygen. Contacts rock :)

  2. I used to be that way. I would wear contacts and only wear my glasses just before bedtime when I took my contacts out and in the morning before I would put them back in. Now, that I've gotten older, I find that I can no longer wear my contacts for such extended periods of time. I've developed dry eyes over the years which makes wearing them uncomfortable. I can now only wear contacts for a few hours at a time.

  3. same here..Contacts Rule!!

  4. I wear glasses, I used to be farsighted, I could see far off, read with them. Now I'm nearsighted, I need them to see far off but can't read with them, I have them off now, if I had 'em on, I couldn't see what I was typing.

They may feel uncomfortable at first, but if you wear them all the time, eventually you don't hardly notice you're wearing them. The same with photo-grey, they gradually turn, you don't notice they're dark. Not like regular sunglasses or clip-ons. I've had photo-grey since 1984 and it's better than swithing back & forth or messing with clip-ons.

As far as contacts go, I wouldn't mess with them, myself. But I cant put my finger in my eye either  lol. Makes a difference.

    Good luck in your decession.

  5. I wear glasses all the time because i live in a dusty town  and my eyes blink all the time or a lot

  6. I wear contacts and glasses - I agree, to me, glasses are totally uncomfortable but this is because I had to start wearing them out of the blue in the middle of my teens and it was totally unexpected - I have a pair of glasses but like you confine them to wearing them in the house - to me they are uncomfortable and give me a headache (and no that is not because they prescription os wrong it is just merely the fact that I am not used to wearing them). I have a prescription of -1.5 and literally live in contacts - but I'm getting laser eye surgery next month - it is too expensive to have to keep buying contacts and new frames!!!

  7. i wear glasses and the reason that your nose area feels irritated is because you are thinking about it too much! trust me I have 2 different pair and if I wear the other pair then for a while it feels weird but if you forget about it then the feeling will go away.

  8. I wear my glasses.I have had them since I was 18 and I truly would not give them up for anything.I actually feel uncomfortable without them on,if I am out somewhere and I have them off,I feel like something's missing. They've become so much a part of me,I'd have a hard time giving them up for contacts.I have no problem with others getting contacts, but for me,I just wouldn't be suited for them. And besides,I think they give people like me character! So to all the four-eyed people out there,I salute you!

  9. I wear contacts when I am outside the house because my glasses are thick because of my high prescription.  My prescription is -12.00 and if it wasn't for contacts I'd look like Mr Magoo. I'm so glad I live in a modern age, I couldn't imagine walking around without glasses or contacts in.
