Do you wear signed jerseys?

Question

So I went to the NHL Awards Red Carpet and I got a bunch of autographs on my jerseys. On my girl Toronto Maple Leafs jersey, I got around 9 and on my Crosby jersey I got 2. I bought them to wear them, but I don't know if I should anymore. I mean, I don't want them to get ruined! But I really want to wear them too!

I wear my jerseys that are autographed on occasions. It will not hurt them much unless yo spill something on it. So be very careful. I would not wear them to school though. But I do store mine when they are no being worn. I don't have the extra money right now for a good acid free frame. If you go to put it in a frame get the acid free Glass or it will damage the ink after a while. I collect a lot of autographs and Has seen the damage it can do. Be very careful. and enjoy your Jerseys

I don't wear signed jerseys.  I don't want it to get dirty or smeared.  One of my jerseys is signed by all the Devils.  I put one of those plastic dress/coat covers over it and hang it on my wall.

You should just purchase a new jersey to wear.  It's better to keep the autographed one clean.

I have mine signed by: Kari Lehtonen, Ondrej Pavalec, Marian Hossa(boo i wish i could tide the sucker out), and Ilya Kovalchuk and i wear mine all the time as long as it is in sharpies and you didn't drop tons on the jersey why should it matter. If you bought it to buy why should it collect dust when you could be showing off :)

If I got my Jersey signed I would probobaly hang it on the wall in my room. Like you said I'd be afraid to damage it or get food on it.

You're so lucky! I'd wear them, but not a lot, and try to keep them in GREAT shape!

I would frame that and buy every kind of insurance for it (including driving). Wearing it would reduce its value to nothing.

I would hang it up and wear it to games and thats it! With that many signatures i wouldn't take a chance of ruining it. Or if you really want to wear it just throw it on and wear it around the house.

i would wear it to games if you go to them maybe wear it to school once or twice but wait and get more autographs then frame it. but thats just me.

I wear a signed jersey to games (that I watch, not play in) but the player who signed it wasn't a big star he's a friend though. He played on the Blackhawks + Nordiques and although I haven't had this confirmed I am pretty sure LITY is the one who drafted him.

last season i wore my signed Semin jersey to every caps game i went to except for the playoffs and it was fine.  I even wore it to school a bunch of times and it survived.

i might wear mine but it just depends but i just got my jersey like a month ago..your so lucky you got autographs. i probably would have done the same thing if i went to the red carpet awards thing but i live in the u.s. =/

I used to wear them to games when I was younger. Then, I spilled pop all down the front of it and have butter stains on my sleeves and down the front of the jersey where I accidently dropped it. Five of my jerseys(including my signed Hasek jersey) are completely ruined. I wouldn't recommend wearing them to a hockey game.

Mine's signed, but the ink didnt take too well to begin with (Sharpie...I shake my fist at you!) so I still wear what looks like a buffaslug with a dirt mark no it.

I would just a couple times to show off to everyone I know. I am very... can't think of the word but after that I would keep it in a very safe place where i can see it but not spill grape juice on it. Ahem...not that I've ever done that... ok maybe I have but it wasn't signed and it was on the black part lol

i wear my signed jersey. only its no fun for everyone around me cuz im a total psycho about it. but i do wear it. i baby it. and its signed by my favorite player in fading silver pen! so its really fragile but as long as you take care of it you wont have problems.

I have two signed jerseys and I wear them to games but my team( the atlanta thrashers) nevr make it to the playoffs so I don't have to worry about post-season mess..I watch my other team (Pittsburgh) on TV and i don't wear my jerseys then. Both are in great condition and have never looked better (except for when I got them....)

*Kari_LetNoneIn- what do you have against Hossa?! its Don Wadell's fault he's gone! Hes a great player and a nice guy and I'm glad he's in Pits cause he can accually rack up points not having to pass to Kovy all the time
