If so, what kind? Please be specific. "Gel" toe pads, to me, are these:

If you are referring to these:

Please say "Ouch Pouch". Sorry, I'm picky.

Personally, I don't wear toe pads. I'm interested to hear your answers! Keep dancing!♥

  1. I'm not dancing much anymore, but when I did  i used a TINY bit of lambs wool and some tape on my sensitive toes.

    thats it.

Anything more made my toes feel squished and I felt clumsy.

  2. it depends on what type of pointe shoes you have and also what you are more comfortable with.

my first pair of pointe shoes i wore ouch pouches with them.

now i have gel pads, i prefer them.

  3. yea, duh! i use the gel ones b/c it hurts my toes way to much w/o them

  4. I do not wear toe pads. I cannot feel the floor when I do. If my pointe shoes are bothering me one day I wrap one layer of gauze on the toe that is next to the pinky toe since that is where my pointe shoe rubs. Although at first it hurt to build the calluses it has payed off. I can dance loads better now without pads.
