  1. No, if you were to wear underwear, you will get abrasion as when you cycle friction is produce. if prolong you will not be able to ride and you will find difficulty walking, so my advice to you is to not wear it.

  2. Bike shorts are designed to go commando.

Underwear will provide friction in places you don't want it.

  3. No.

Underwear seams are in the wrong spots.  Will rub you raw in spots you don't want rubbed raw, ever.

Also I use Chamois Butter by Paceline.  Great stuff.

  4. definitely not.. its free ball all the way.

you may find it a bit uncomfortable at first but when you get use to it its much more pleasant! get some well padded ones too! =)

  5. Nope, but I do sprinkle a little baby powder (cornstarch) in there.  For those that don't like spandex you can get MTB shorts or there are padded briefs that you can wear inside of regular shorts.  I have even worn regular shorts over my lycra when I have been going to the mall or some place where I wanted to have pockets.  Peace.

  6. No.

  7. No, you do not want to wear underwear under cycling shorts. The chamois inside are designed to wick away moisture from sweat. Wearing underwear will absorb the sweat and defeat the purpose. This is true even with the baggy MTB shorts.

  8. I usually wear 3 extra pair of underwear underneath my biking shorts, and 1 on the outside to be extra safe

  9. commando
