I am have worn a uniform since 2nd grade& i was wondering about other peoples experiences with uniforms. My questions are:

1. How long have you worn/did your wear uniforms?

2. What grade are you in now/How old are you?

3. Did/do you go to a private, public or charter school?

4. What was/is your uniform?

5. Was your uniform strictly enforced?

6. Where do/did you live?

I hate when people ask questions but don't answer them so i will answer my own questions too:

since 2nd grade

2. What grade are you in now/How old are you?

going into 9th/14 yrs old

3. Did/do you go to a private, public or charter school?

2nd grade-8th grade= charter

9th grade-12th grade= public

4. What was/is your uniform?

2nd= black v-neck jumper, white peterpan collar shirt, neutral shoes

3rd-5th= purple shirt, black bottoms, neutral shoes

6th-8th= white or yellow shirt, khaki bottoms, neutral non-atheletic shoes

9th-12= white or maroon shirt, khaki bottoms

5. Was your uniform strictly enforced?

only in 8th grade

6. Where do/did you live?

1. How long have you worn/did your wear uniforms? Since my first day of school (aside from nursery school.)

2. What grade are you in now/How old are you? I'm 16, year 11

3. Did/do you go to a private, public or charter school?Catholic School (boys and girls)

4. What was/is your uniform? Black trousers/skirt, white shirt a tie in school colours and a jumper in one of the school colours and black shoes. In primary school it was the same, but without the jumper. And different school colours.

5. Was your uniform strictly enforced? It is! Even to the extent that if you don't have your top button done up (which is usually really tight) you get a detention. If you choose to wear a skirt, it can't be more than 5 cm above your knees. One teacher walks around with a ruler and actually measures!

6. Where do/did you live? England

7. Do you like wearing uniforms? No! It takes away all individuality, you try to personalise your uniform and you get a phone call home. I wish I didn't have to wear uniform, everyone looks like idiots >:(

2. What grade are you in now/How old are you? 15 going to be a sophomore

3. Did/do you go to a private, public or charter school? I go to a Catholic School (private)

4. What was/is your uniform? Navy blue shorts for girls and boys or tan, navy blue, or black pants, and a collared white, blue, or yellow shirt.

5. Was your uniform strictly enforced? Since 5th grade. You get pink slips and owe a dollar if your shirt isn't tucked in.

6. Where do/did you live? Small town Iowa (I don't want to say where for privacy)

7. Do you like wearing uniforms? Sometimes--not having to pick out clothes but I don't because you can't express yourself.

well i have a dresscode...

1. How long have you worn/did your wear uniforms? ~ it started in 5th grade, got more strict in 7th grade and im going to be going into 9th grade.

2. What grade are you in now/How old are you? ~ going into 9th grade, 14 y/os

3. Did/do you go to a private, public or charter school? ~ private

4. What was/is your uniform? ~ the dresscode in 5th and 6th grade was that girls had to wear blouses (no tshirts) and guys had to wear collared tucked in shirts w/ belts. you couldnt wear shorts unless they were uniform shorts. also, on wednesdays, you had to be dressed up (girls in skirts and guys in ties and dress pants). from 7th grade on, girls had to wear collared shirts, no shorts of any kind allowed, and we had to dress up on thursday.

7. Do you like wearing uniforms? ~ eh.. its not awful cause i can wear a graphic tshirt (that isnt inappropriate) over my collared shirt, but it gets annoying. it would definitely be nicer if we didnt have a dresscode...

im going to grade 8!! yaa!! im 13!! turned  it on August 2 whooot!

it green plaid skirt, and golf shirt, or a white button up tee with green plaid tie, and green knee high socks (blagh)

    Since grade 2

2. What grade are you in now/How old are you?

    I am now in grade 10, and 14 yrs old.

3. Did/do you go to a private, public or charter school?

    From grades 1-4 I went to a private school. In 5-8 I went to a private Catholic school. And in grades 9 to now, I go to a public charter school.

4. What was/is your uniform?

    From 1-4= either the navy blue polo with the school logo or a red, white,  and navy/khaki bottoms, a jumper and peter pan collar shirt and a white tie around it. From 5-6= school logo tshirt, red polo, and navy bottoms, school jumper and tie and peter pan shirt. From 7-8= white polo w/ school logo and red plaid skirt (It was my personal favorite. Even thought I wore it at an appropriate length, it felt very appealing, lol.)     In grades 5-8. Even simple hair bands for ponytails (like goody's) had to be school colors.

     Little Rock, AR.

I like my Jr. High (7-8) uniform the most. My high school uniform comes in a close second because it is quite lax in terms of enforcement. Love it, as of now.

4)for my elementary/middle school you can where a plaid hunter green junper or skirt or navy blue pants/shorts and shirt colors are navy blue,white,red,yellow,and light blue and have collars . for my high school its any color collared shirt (no words or designs on them) and kahaki or navy blue pants/shorts

5)yes you have to have your shirt tucked in or you get in trouble and you can't have shrits under them peeking out or have wordso n them my school is kidna strict

i wore uniforms for second and third grade.

2. What grade are you in now/How old are you?

i'm in 8th grade and almost 15.

3. Did/do you go to a private, public or charter school?

i went to a private school when i wore uniforms, then a public school, then a charter, and now home schooled.

4. What was/is your uniform?

you could wear blue pants or a blue/green pleated skirt.

i always wore the skirt, pants were uncomfortable.

then a white shirt with the school logo. or a green sweater on top.

5. Was your uniform strictly enforced?

yes, one time i was wearing a white shirt with no logo and she made me put a sweater on with the logo on top of it.
