Do you wonder about what dogs dream about when they have nightmares?

i do alot. i feel so bad when my weenie dog has nightmares. hes so cute, he's really fat and named papi. my best friend. sometimes when im up late on the computer, he'll be sleeping on my bed, and starts wimpering alot, shaking, ect. so i go and wake him up and he looks so scared and jumps into my lap and keeps l*****g me and cuddling so i end up falling asleep holding him. it makes me feel so bad when they have bad dreams! what kinda things do you think go through their mind when they have bad dreams?

Golden Retrievers (I believe that's the name of the dog) only dream about bananas.

I don't think they are all bad dreams - often my dogs dream and their tails are wagging like crazy.  We always say they are dreaming of having a job as a pork pie taster!

Vietnamese restaraunts, being neutered, kids with fire crackers... you know, the usual.

Their parents. Maybe how they were seperated from them or how they died.

My lab does the same thing. IDk what it is, i think its just about things that scare them. Maybe a dog they dont like, or a person that scares them, it could be anything. Just whenever you see him doing that, make sure to wake him up and show him affection. IT can really make them feel better when they wake up to their owner petting them. You just gotta be there for him. [:

I wondered alot. We had a dog (she passed away last year) She would in her sleep move her feet (she would be laying down) ad sometimes she would whine when doing it. We had a thought that when she wasn't whining she was running. A couple of years ago she went into the cold river mind you she was blind and death we think that's what she dreamed about when her feet went and she whinnied. When ever during a dream she looked scared we would wake her up then rock her and even though she was death tell her its ok. PS Her name was sassy.
