  1. I do market research over the phone, and I find that the way to get interviews (other than luck) is perseverance, belief in yourself and in the importance/subject matter of the call, sounding knowledgable/alert/professional/upper class and listening to colleagues introductions.

  2. No. I hate cold callers.

  3. As Jamie198 said its a numbers game, the more people you phone the better chance there is in selling. Always make your first call the same as your last call and be pleasant at all times, you cannot force someone to take what you are offering but if you know your product well it should work out.

  4. my mate sam works for alliance and leicester in a call centre and always gos on about targets and stuff. i think he just flirts with the customers lol maybe its not a good approach though, hes trying to get sacked at the mo lol. just be cheeky about it?! whats the worst that can happen?? your on the phone they cant come get u for being cheeky lol good luck hun

  5. Its a numbers game if they are really not interested try not too annoy them and move to next call. Dont get disheartened by insults make a joke out of it maybe. Also get supervisor to listen in and give some advice

  6. The open end question and presumptive close always worked for me.  I was top seller at Sprint and at the bank I use to work for.  I would ask them questions like "why don't you have internet access on your phone?" or "did you know you don't have internet access on your phone?"  but it's all in the tone.  You have to say it as if you're stunned that they don't have it.  Kind of like, Really?  you don't have that service?  Then once they tell you "I don't know" which they usually do, you just follow up with "well let's get that set up for you now".  Oh and whatever it costs, you always say "it's only" in front of it.  Don't worry, it sounds like a lot to remember, but it's full proof.  :)
