Do you worry about the things you have stored online becoming deleted?

I have ALL my pictures and videos stored online. I don't print all my pictures off, I just print very few for frames and store the rest. I wonder what would happen if the internet suddenly just stops to be... all my stuff would be gone. I tried storing them on CD's but they lost their data after 7-10 years and some would not open because of the format (the newer computers have different programs and formats for things). I think that I will transfer them all to CD AND keep them online. But still, it doesn't seem safe unless they are printed off... which I don't do... WAY too many pictures, alblums and space that they take, when I look at my online ablums anyway.

How do you keep your pictures safe?

  1. For the most secure way of not losing your pictures, buy a external Hard drive. When you store pictures on websites, its also safe but depends on which sites you are using. If you are using something very popular, it will definitely continue to stay online and your pictures won't be deleted but if your on some small site which only a  small number of people use, then I would be concerned. External Hard Drive for maximum safety
