Question:

Do your blood veins run on top of your bones under the skin,or inside the top layer of the bone?

or do they run in the skin??? Im just curious.

  1. blood does run through the center of your bones but this is called bone Mariel,but the majority of the human blood veins is between the skin and muscle,and the smaller blood veins run through the inner layers of skin,,also called varicose veins..the vein system in a human body looks a lot like tree limbs with out the leaves...


  2. They run on top of your bones, but beneath the outer layers of skin. This is why veins are visible, especially in people with light skin, and why veins can be damaged by relatively shallow cuts. If veins ran inside your bones, it would be impossible to slit your wrists without a saw!

  3. Both. Veins are more superficial than arteries. If you can see a bluish vessel through your skin, it's a vein. However, bones are very well vascularized and are drained by veins.
