Passion, obsession, addiction, call it what you want, lol.

When I'm on Answers I feel at home. We all (well most of us) have a love for baseball. But all of my friends and most of my family aren't really "sports people". So they don't see why I live and die by each win and loss.

So what about you.

  1. yes, i got them all to be Angels fans!

um, every fan is a band waggon fan, and if not then your team sucks, cuz you just don't pick a team that sucks. its just life, but ive been an Angels fan for 8 years now!

  2. Yes they do because they also like it.

  3. Nope. Same, most of my friends and family aren't into sports, or at least the teams I like. I can't really talk to them about baseball or the A's or anything really sports related. I can talk to my dad, but sometimes, he just doesn't understand. I love baseball and the players and basically the whole game of baseball. It's the best sport out there. No one really understands my passion. I love baseball and the A's! =]

  4. That's true my friends know my passion and love for Baseball and really don't understand it and my Family likes to watch baseball , but not that much , i feel like family here with many fellow Yankee fans

Im a Yankee Fan all alone in my house nobdy understand my love and passion for them

  5. Fortunately, my wife does!  We keep season tickets to our AA minor league team and follow everything from high school softball to the Bigs.

  6. my family definitely does. we all love baseball so much.

and we're so dedicated to the red sox.

my friends don't get it though. they think baseball is stupid and boring.

i don't know a girl my age (17) who loves baseball as much as i do!

  7. they understand how much i love it and  have accepted the fact, is what i do for a few months and is over,.......

  8. They do. They have accepted it and moved on. I think I may actually be converting some of them.

  9. Not really with the exception of my older brother. My sister used to have the passion but now she's bitter & cynical always talking about how steroids ruined the game & always talking about hoe she thinks some games are fixed now. And she always does this when I'm trying to enjoy a game.

  10. I feel the same way you do. My friends don't understand why an A's loss puts me in a bad mood. When I go on here I feel like I can talk to others who are like me. None of my friends are big sports fans so this is a great place for me. I love talking baseball.

  11. I am a Australian and i have a passion for baseball. However because baseball isn't a well recognized sport we struggle for players in all grades. I try to get as much training as possible so i can improve my skills. I enjoy baseball so much i even play the winter ball season as well as the summer. I have been able to make some of my friends play and they absolutly love the game.

  12. Yes, my grandpa is actually a partner with the Red Sox, so he's VERY involved to say the least.

  13. my family has a horrible history in sport injuries and they insist i quit baseball but thats just not gonna happen anytime soon

injury or not im playing in the show one day

the name is Jared Sanders... remember it

  14. My family play baseball, through summer and winter. And i honestly can't stand the sport. But really what ever floats your boat, I don't understand the game every well and maybe that's why i dislike it so much, either way, as SA Hawks said in Australia it isn't a hugely recognized sport.

  15. my dad doesnt understand it because he doesnt understand baseball because he likes football more.i mean i like football just as much as baseball but he still doesnt like baseball that much and doesnt understand why i get so excited during a game.

my mom doest understand my passion for any sport whether its baseball soccer or football, but shes my mom, most moms are like that.

  16. wow. i know exactly what you mean. noone understands my diehard obsession/addiction with baseball. nobody understands why im bummed out when the yankees lose, and why im all cheery when they win. i live and die by each pitch, since i was like 5 baseball has been my favorite thing ever.

PS: and isnt the WORST phrase in the world :"calm down, its just a game"

ahh it makes my blood boil. its sooooo much more than that

  17. My Friends and Family also like Baseball so they would understand.
