  1. I seen an article by John Stossel from 20/20 a while back that busted the myth that kids were more hpyer after eating sweets.  He proved that kids are just naturally hyper and sweets were not the general cause.  I tried finding the video on youtube with no luck.  There is no such thing as a suger high.

  2. I've never experienced that problem myself. I have bought Nutella, and have never seen a difference in the way my kids behave after eating it. The contents are similar to that of peanut butter, which also does not have that effect.

Some will say it's the sugar, but sugar causing hyperactivity is actually a myth. It has to do with the personality trait of the child, and the child's attention span. I think it may be a coincidence that they seem roudy after Nutella. Little boys are roudy and agressive, especially when it comes to their sister...just a fact of life.

I found a great website that offers tips on how to calm hyperactive children. Some ideas such as the "boredom box", and activities are great:

  3. ummm.....its called a sugar high! send them out in the back yard and let them race each other and run around to burn it off, then they will get tired. but dont give them anymore nutella sandwiches for now!
