It is a school rule you must invite the entire class if inviting anyone. So I invited 18 kids from my sons class to his birthday party. We are having it at our house tomorrow & we rented a water slide. No one has RSVPd, which if no one from school came, we still have a bunch of other kids coming (family & friends).

I am just wondering of those of you who have invited your childs entire class how many actually showed?

  1. My friend once had an all - class party in her backyard. About 5 kids didn't come, out of 25. Keep in mind, even though you think some of the kids dont wanna go, some of them might be sick, can't find a ride, or there is a family emergency. Keep that in mind!

  2. We invited the whole class and I was really surprised by how many people did not RSVP by the deadline.  A few people I ended up calling b/c their kid told my daughter they were coming, but I hadn't heard from a parent yet.  Then, the night before I received about 10 RSVPs.  The day of the party, some just showed up unexpectedly, and others who said they were coming, didn't show up.  In the end, we had 14 out of 20 kids come.

It still shocks me that people don' t have the courtesty to RSVP.  Luckily I bought extra goody bags.  We're all busy, but how hard is it to make a 20 second phone call?  So, be prepared - you never know who is going to show up.  Hope it all works out....

  3. My grandkids go to at least 1 birthday party each week!  (I swear those kids must be celebrating 1/2 birthdays!) ... usually most of the people invited show up.   When MY girls were little, I never put the address on the invitation!  Then the moms had to call to RSVP to find out where it was:)

  4. i had the party on easter sunnday, hoping less kids would pitch...lol i had the whole class in by backyard..at least half should come through

  5. A school rule that you must invite everyone? What kind of school does your son go to?

  6. My daughter was in kindergarten. We invited 16 out of 20 from her class. We only had 5 show up.  The 4 we did not invite were ones we did not want at the party.  I made sure that they did not know about it.  I waited until the class was out of the room and put invitations in these children's folders that went home.  We also did not have RSVP's, I had to send another letter home asking them to call and let me know.   If they don't call they are probably not going to show up.

  7. I inivited 21 & 17 came.  That's pretty rude they didn't respond.  How old are these kids?

  8. I am 13 and when I was younger, someone in my class named Malcolm invited everyone in my class to his b-day party. (It's not a school rule here, he's just a rich kid.) Everyone he invited, including me, showed up.
