  1. Cheap if you are from an unproductive family or a foreign country.

  2. I think you are in dire need of any kind of "eduacation".

  3. I agree with you about the cost part, but what else leads you to make that assertion?

  4. Looking at the way you spell, I'd have to say yes.

  5. Seems to be.  I achieved my bachelors in microbiology this year, and finding a job took me over 2 months.  What's more, the job didn't require the degree, jobs that required it were taken by other people without so much as an interview being conducted with me.  The degree is important, but mainly towards getting to the next step in education, its importance in attaining a job seems to have gone down quite a bit.

  6. Al S, I think that was supposed to be a joke on the asker's part.

Actually though, I couldn't tell you, as I didn't go to college 15 years ago, but yes, based on what I have read, I would say that I find the educational standards do seem to be dropping, and there seem to be a lot of diploma mill, buck-making, racket-operating, universities.

    It's truly sad.

I can't wait until I go! And get it over with so I can have some sheepskin to present to some bigoted corporation that prefers what I did over who I am, so they can use me like a human resource. Oh what joy! Yes edumacation is truly a wondrous gift. It truly is. Indeedy, deedy do.

  7. I wouldn't know if a college education is worth as much as it was 15 years ago because I never went to college.  When I retired I was the Plant Manager for a large Corp. and had college grads. reporting to me.  One other thing I never went to college but I belong to a college Fraternity. I am not trying to put down people with a college degree because if I had been able to go to college when I finished High School things would have been much easier for me.  There is one thing that I know if you work hard and set your goals you can accomplish great things in this country .

  8. Nothing is worth what is was 15 years ago. Rock on republicans.

  9. Yes, too many liberal professors now.

  10. Now if you had been a "legacy" grad with a "C" average, you could look forward to becoming the prezident.

  11. uhhh i got a full ride!

  12. A degree removes barriers or "glass ceilings"

A degree does not typically get you a job you wouldn't normally be able to obtain without it.....it just allows for a more rapid upward climb in a profession.

Not to mention, there are reasons to have a solid education beyond income......

  13. Yes.
