  1. Yes your Zebra needs "CUTTLE-BONE"(I thought for a second you cuddled your bird!) just because you do not see him at it all the time does' not mean that he does not need it captive birds need it and a mineral block to keep them in good health.

Give him a cuddle from me.

  2. Cuttle bones only give the birds minerals and help keep their beaks filed down. You don't need to worry about the beak on a finch overgrowing and if you give them a proper diet they will get their minerals there. I have 8 large parrots now and had many in the past and they are all in great health without a cuttle bone.

  3. Hello.

I have 300 birds and I give the cuttle bones to every one of them ...they use it as fast as their food . Cuttle bones is a great sourse of calcium ( not only for triming their beaks )  ...all of my pairs who have had eggs and babies use the cuttle bones . I used to have 800 finches ( 10 kinds of finches ) and they all eat it every day ...specially the females to lay eggs . TM.
