You really have to assume that the people reading your questions don't know what you are talking about.  A question like this is pretty meaningless without an explanation.

But if you go to the UK, you will have to have British pounds or a major credit card like Visa or Mastercard.

Just like you can't walk into a shop in the US with a handful of Euros and expect to be served, stores in the UK require the currency of that country.

But I've had to make various assumptions here about what your question really means.
