I believe my 3 yr. old 85 lb Dobey has a pinched nerve in his neck. I'm hoping that chiro treatment will help him. For those of you who have dealt with this did your dog need an MRI before receiving the chiro treatment? How successful was the treatment? We have a local vet that has had really good results with chiro treatment on Horses, Dogs and even Cats. I'm waiting to hear back from them on my question but would love to get more feedback. Thank you!

  1. Why do you think it's a pinched nerve?  Is that what the vet said.  CVI or Wobbler's is very common in Dobes.  Please be careful and best of luck with your Dobe.

  2. He shouldn't need an MRI unless he is super old or was in a tragic impact incident (hit by a car)

they'll probably do x-rays, and it generally takes a few weeks of treatment to feel better. (I go quite a bit for my scoliosis) It's really vital to ice the area that was adjusted, whether it be animal or human. best of luck.

  3. We had an older Pekingese/Chihuahua mix and had the Chiropractor  relieve a pinch nerve in her spine. She would have died, if he hadn't done this for her. Please have a vet check out the dog before finding a Chiropractor.
