Dockers, no flags before being disbanded?

I predict the Dockers won't last more than 5 years and will remain in the bottom 4 for all of that time before being dumped from the comp.

Since they started: 13th

I doubt there has been a more unsuccessful club in their first 14 years of competition in VFL/AFL aside from University (even they came 6 and 7 in their first three years)

What do you think?

  1. That's stupid!!!

Yes they have played c**p in the first 7 years and have never stayed at a steady point on the ladder. give them 5 years and they get the flag.

i was at the western derby last week end and freo actually played well, hate to say it. Parmer, ibitson, Mayne are just some great kids that come to mind. They are not a struggling club for money or supporters, they have the 3rd biggest membership base, behind Adelaide and west coast!

and that's coming from an eagles fan.

  2. Regardless of there poor record Freo is in no danger whatsoever of disbanding, WA is a football stronghold and win, lose or draw the dockers will always have support from the locals and AFL alike

  3. I never realised how bad it was ayye, they are not tanking its just that their club is never strong enough to complete a full year of football.

Its sad to think how everyon thinks the eagles are tanking when they have always been in the top eight (or even top four) and then u look at fremantle who never make it into the eight.

The reason they are still in the afl is because they have so many supporters who keep them going.

  4. Wow, that is not a good record! I can't believe that their best is 3rd! With all the help new teams receive from the AFL, you'd think they could actually win something! They had some great players, but I think they have missed their opportunities! I have to agree, I don't think they will do much better in the next few years, but who knows if the AFL will kick them out.

The only club I can think of with a worse record is University!

  5. HAHAHAHHAHAHA thats hilarious it will be funny if they do get dumped from this comp!!! lol

i feel sorry for their supporters coz their heading straight into a brick wall at the moment!

  6. **I knew Fremantle didn't have a great record but I didn't realise it was as bad as your statistics show.

I haven't heard any talk of Fremantle not lasting in the competition in the next couple of years, only talk of Melbourne and North Melbourne not staying but I think that you've brought up a very interesting point.

I think it's a bit sad for their supporters though because it's nice to watch your time have some success every once in a while and I think their supporters haven't had much of that.**

  7. Woe, woe, but nothing could be as disastrous as Murray Weidemann leading Collingwood to its first Wooden Spoon in 1976

Interesting to see the teams not to have won this ornament - all of them AFL spoon-fed interstate clubs to emsure they succeed at the expense of Victorians, the home of football.
