DT is reportedly sticking around until his contract ends in 2010... He's already filmmed the X-Mas special.

lol, coincidently my hubby is the biggest Dr Who fan in Melbourne!!

I dont think there are any plans for John Simm to be the next doctor and the current actor is contracted for another year.

buuuttt i am a doctor who fan so i don't mind.

well i loovvvee john simm i think he's great, and i think he'd make a great doctor, but how can he go from the master to the doctor???

unless maybe the doctor regenerates and then just happens to look the same as the master.

I never thought I would say this, but I almost wish JS had NOT played the master, so that he could be the next Doctor when DT gets fed up or signs a big movie deal.

I wonder if the Black Guardian or someone could play a cruel trick on the Doctor, and make him regenerate to look exactly like the master? We could then have a whole series of him avoiding mirrors, etc, and Martha freaking out at the sight of him!!
