Ok, so has most know G.E.D stands for General Equivalency Diploma or some will call it High School Equivalency Diploma. Also some will argue that it is harder to take the G.E.D test that it is for a senior to graduate.....because the G.E.D takes all four years of High into one test. Now with that said I am going to take my G.E.D but I want to become a Doctor. Do you think I will have just as much chance as someone who has there High School Diploma? The most important thing is if my scores are high which I have confidence they will be. I'm just looking for some feedback thanks! Also do you think I would be able to a Scholarship? Is there one for Ethnic Minority people.

  1. First off, you go to college first usually and THEN pick your major. By that time, no one will care if you got a HS diploma or a GED. Its the work you will do in college that will matter. If you're worried about getting into college, try a community college where you can graduate in two years and then move on to a university where you can continue towork on your major which will be something in science/biology. Only then, will you have to go to medical school. So the fact that you're getting a GED wil not matter. If you don't get a scholarship, you can always get a loan. You do not have to pay the loan while you are studying and a lot of people get thouh college that way.
