  1. Collections stay on your credit reports for 7 years.  You can dispute it through all 3 credit bureaus or contact MCB collection service and ask them to remove it from your credit report.

  2. www.FICSMYCREDIT.com

  3. Some agencies only report account changes quarterly and some monthly. so it may take time to show up as paid.

You will have to contact MCB and request that they update your credit files.  You could dispute the entries with the 3 CRA's but you would have to do it individually.  You could send each of them copies of any receipts you have showing that the debt was paid.  If you do write anybody, send it certified/return receipt mail.

This item will remain on your reports but will no longer be listed as a derogatory entry.  It will show as being paid and will improve your score a little bit.

Here is a link on how to dispute with the CRA's, this info is from the FTC

    http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/menus/consumer/cr...

Download a pdf file regarding how to dispute with CRA's

    Hope this answers your question.

  4. That is how credit reports work.  Anything negative, i.e., collections can stay on your report for 7 years, paid or not paid.  Bigger issues (like bankruptcy) can stay on for 10 years

  5. contact the company and have them report corectly.

  6. True Credit is worthless.  Follow the dispute procedure on the sites of the three credit bureaus themselves.  Yes, do all three.  This process is free.

  7. Hi Brian

The above poster was correct. If you went into collection for the medical bill it will indeed stay on your credi report/profile for 7 years. This is a few ways you could go about getting it deleted if you are interested.

You would most likely need to hire a professional.
