  1. yes

  2. this is one thing they are feeling for when they examine your testicles.  cancer shows up as a lump, and men should be doing self-exams like women do thier b*****s.  if you feel lumps it is important to have it checked.

  3. they can tell you have a lump but you need other tests to confirm whether or not its cancerous.

  4. No, it take a physical exam and then a biopsey

  5. The doctor can't tell IF you have cancer, but they can tell if there is anything abnormal in terms of a growth on your testes.  If the doc finds something on one of your nuts, they'll usually ask for a biopsy, which means taking a bit of the lump away for a laboratory check and that will confirm whether you have cancer.

By the way, the check that the doctor does is the same one every guy should be doing himself once a month or so.

--Check yourself right after a hot shower. The skin of the s*****m is then relaxed and soft.

--Become familiar with the normal size, shape and weight of your testicles.

--Using both hands, gently roll each t******e between your fingers.

--Identify the epididymis. This is a rope-like structure on the top and back of each t******e. This structure is NOT an abnormal lump.

--Be on the alert for a tiny lump under the skin, in front or along the sides of either t******e. A lump may remind you of a piece of uncooked rice or a small cooked pea.

--Report any swelling to your health care provider.

If you have any lumps or swelling, it does not necessarily mean you have cancer, but you must be checked by your health care provider. If detected and treated early , testicular cancer is one of the most curable cancers.
