A bite from a Dragonfly is almost painless and will not even occur unless you seriously threaten one. They do not have stingers so that rules that out.

A Dragonfly has to eat it's own weight in mosquitos and other nasties every hour just to maintain it's energy levels. That's a lot of mosquitos. The point I am making is that they are very beneficial and you should be thankful that there are so many of them. They will not bite you.

Not only that, they are the most proficient fliers in the animal kingdom. They are so cool to watch. The only creatures that even come close to their flying abilities are the Hummingbird's, and Bat's.

They are good to have around!!!
