Doctors & Nurses I dread when my periods come can u help ?

for the last year my periods have became horrendous it was as if i was hemorrhaging that i had ended up going to A&E i have now been put on Tranexamic Acid tablets 3times a day for 3 days and no more, i spoke to my doctor because i really want to know what the underlying problem is and i was told this happens to some women does anybody know of anything else i could do or take as i am so fatigue when my periods are here with the amount of blood loss.

  1. Eat a lot of iron-rich foods to help with the fatigue, and tack on some protein as well.

    As far as having horrendous periods, have you considered getting on the pill?  I started it when I was 12 (no kidding) because my periods were so heavy that I'd go through pads in an hour.  It helped tremendously.  You may want to consider that as an option.
