Look the opposite direction and think about something else.

Relax your arm or where ever you are getting the shot. That is the main key to it not hurting, your arm must be relaxed. When you stiffen up it hurts bad. Also don't watch. Turn your head and think of somewhere else that you like to be and when they tell you that you will feel a pinch relax and think of a happy place. I had a shot right into my shoulder bone. The Dr said it would hurt something awful. I relaxed my arm and turned my head and never felt a thing. The Dr was shocked but it really did not hurt. Relaxation of the body part where the shot is going is the key.

It won't hurt as much if you relax.  Think about something you really enjoy...basketball, football, soccer, girls or whatever.

You will be fine.  Some nurses give shots that you can hardly feel.

Don't look. I always take a deep breath and bite down on my lower lip and just concentrate on breathing in slowly. Good Luck!

Hold your mom/dads hand and count to 20 and inhale when they stick it in and Don't watch! Last time i got a shot i got a lollipop and a sticker but im a teenager lol.
