Doctors: What is the hospital procedure?

Like, say I walked into the hospital. What would happen? As specific as you can get it, please.

Procedures vary from hospital to hospital, but it depends on why you are there....

Most hospitals expect those who need to be seen to go to the ER department.  There you will be registered and your medical health complaint will be written down...  depending on how sick you are, you will be triaged and nurse or PA and subsequently see a doctor.  Your health complaint will be evaluated, labs and imaging done if appropriate and treatment rendered.  If you don't need to stay in the hospital, then you will be sent home.  If it warrants being admitted to the hospital or transferred to a specialty hospital, then that too will take place if appropriate.

So it really depends on what you needed to be seen for....
