Documents needed to get back in to the country?

I am a U.S. permanent resident born in Mexico. i'm traveling to mexico in a few days. What will I need to get back in the U.S. by plane. i have a state I.D and driver's license, my green card, and the "matricula" which is the consular registration. will i be able to get back in or will i need a mexican passport?

  1. american passport is ONLY for americans..

    you are a resident, so you should be fine.

    matricula to enter Mexico and your green card to enter USA.

  3. I believe you are going to need a Mexican passport to FLY from Mexico into the U.S.  You need to call the airline and ask them for sure.  all your other papers sound in order.
