Dodge caravan shock absorber bolt size?

Question

I have a 1998 Dodge Caravan 3.3lt flex fuel that lost the rear upper shock absorber bolt and i need a new one, but i need to know what size this bolt is and if it's a dealer part only?

I am almost positive it's 12x1.50 either that or 12x1.75, they are about three inches long. Just buy one of each at a hardware store and you got it covered.

I;'d suggest taking the bolt out of the other side and then taking it down to the hardware store and get a grade five bolt of the same size.  If its metric they also have metric bolts.  Don't be afraid to put a good bolt in to the car from the hardware store.  Try to use grade five, since grade 8 are more brittle and will snap if they get under load.
