how do you take out a governer out in a 98 dodge intrepid it will go up to 110 and then quite so how do you take it out and were is it plz help and it a 3.2 v6 24 vavle

  1. The governor is a function of the PCM, the powertrain control module.

    You would have to have a re programed PCM, if that is even possible, You could have a socket installed in the stock PCM, and then have someone write a program. Unlikely you could find a performance PCM, as Mopar does not offer them for that model.


  2. you don't remove them you by pass them with a programmer this is the only way around this,the governor or the engine rpm controller is built in to the computer and there is no removing it,id think 110 would be fast enough in an intrepid,that's faster than i want to be going in one,good luck.
