  1. My cousin used to have this car, a 2001 model. The engine ceased due to "oil sludge" which is a huge problem for intrepids in general (check out the site I listed under sources to see all the complaints for the 2002 model). They ruined their engine. Beside that, the transmission was failing as well at the same time. They also had problems with the windows and head lights fogging up too much. I barely see any on the roads any more, which means they aren't lasting well at all. I'd recommend a 2003 or later Chevy Impala (2000-2002 have pass lock problems in regards to letting the car start), a 2000 Toyota Camry, or maybe a Nissan Maxima/Altima. Good luck.

(You can look up all these cars at the website I listed below for consumer complaints. This website is one of the best I've seen and I've used it for my car purchases in the past)

  2. The only Dodge cars I would recomend are the Charger and the Challenger.

  3. junk......... How many do you see on the road? How much do they sell for on craigslist and such? (NOT MANY ON ROAD NO MORE, AND CHEAP!.... ) PASS ON these vehicles......unless you want to make your mechanic happy

  4. 2002 wasn't to bad of a year on those cars,as long as it doesn't have a 2.7 in it those engines gave a few problems, the most problems i see on the newer ones is with the tranmissions ,they gave a lot of problems, other than that they ran pretty good,i wouldnt put a lot in to one though, they loose their value really fast because of past problems they caused.and have it checked really good before you buy it,unless its in excellent shape with really low miles on it id be really careful on this one, good luck.
