more importantly, he will hardly be a star in the city of LA.  he doesn't like the limelight, and he'll get little of it (and all the money) in his new home.  boston celebs tend often to be sports figures, in LA sports takes the bleacher seats to Hollywood.

Poor Joe Torrie.  I bet Francona is laughing at him right now.  What a head case he is.  Plus Jeff Kent to boot.  Just think torrie is managing Lowe, Garciaparra and now Manny.  Yikes...
