Dods Little Gem set to make a surprise move in The Carling Sprint (Div A) at Yarmouth
P. Simmonds’ 2-year-old b***h, Dods Little Gem, was pretty impressive in her recent 277 metres open race, when missing the gold medal only by a short head’s distance. Although the blue and brindle b***h has not yet opened her account over this distance,
an excellent show would have given her plenty of confidence.
So, a chance can be taken on her in The Carling Sprint (Div A), being held at Yarmouth on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. The £175 event is due to get underway at 20:09 GMT. Other participants are: Trappers Corner, Droopys Zino, Slippery Tigger, Mineola Keane
and Droopys Stig.
Dods Little Gem is showing her magic for the very first time at Yarmouth. Yet, her supporters don’t need to get worried, as the daughter of Dods Delight is more than capable of adjusting her game according to the conditions. Starting the race from the red
box is another massive advantage for Dods Little Gem.
Out of others, Trappers Corner looks to be the strongest one. The black dog recently ran very well in a trial race over 277 metres, stopping the clock in just 16.85 seconds.
D. Mullins’ charge does not have much experience of running at Yarmouth, but he looked pretty solid on his first-ever trip here last week. One can easily expect him to continue his good work and trouble the judge today.
Droopys Stig is not in fine fettle these days, as he fell after being badly bumped last time. Despite the fact that he recently made a decent solo journey, we don’t expect him to enthral.
Droopys Zino defeated Dods Little Gem on her penultimate outing. After taking a close triumph, the white and blue b***h lost her direction and as a result, finished third last time out. She is undoubtedly a powerful hound, but her inconsistency is a major
concern. Mineola Keane is completely out of momentum at the moment. Similar is the case with Slippery Tigger.
Trappers Corner and Droopys Zino are surely two major players, but Dods Little Gem is in an ideal position to spring up a surprise. Good luck to all the runners.
