  1. I don't think so.

    People have used these for years on many species. If they work, you'll see a lot of bass fishermen using them. Those jigs (yes, they are actually jigs not spoon) will work better on saltwater species such as mackerel, spanish mackerel, barracuda, rock fish, flukes and sometimes halibut. In freshwater, they'll work on walleye, stripped bass, pike and occasional salmon.
