  1. that's pretty good i pay alot more!

i pay $40 for a group flat (hour)

i pay $45 for a group jumping (hour)

i pay $60 per private (half hour)

    i pay $60 for semi-private (45 min)

  2. no thats actually quite a nice price where i live on the east coast i pay 40-45 dollars for a riding lesson, riding is very expensive and just gets more expensive the more you get involved and progress into shows and owning/leasing a horse. good luck!

  3. That's a deal in my area. The guy who trains at my barn charges $60/hr for private and is hiking up to $80 soon. He also has a waiting list. So, $37.50 is a great price, imo.

  4. its not that bad compared to my lesson prices lol. 6 flat lessons would be 270

  5. Thats pretty good... I pay $35 per hour for my English lessons...

  6. Yes that is a great price. I pay anywhere from $45-55 a lesson with my jumper trainers and $100(+) for dressage lessons with my dressage trainer (shes a trainer for the dutch olympic teams horses) thats why shes so much. But yes paying about (38.00) a lesson is not that bad.

  7. It totaly depeneds cause i have taken lessons 4 $20 dollars and others for 40 and 50 dollars!

  8. No because it's about $37 per lesson and that is not bad.

but how long are the lessons?

  9. No, thats a really good price

  10. Private lessons would run anywhere from $20 to $60.

Semi- private would run for less. (Two to three horses in the lesson with you, great value)

Group lessons even less than semi.

For a new rider I would say go with private or semi private. You get your monies worth as the instructor will give you more one on one. This will help you advance quicker than if you go for group where your instructor may only spend 10 to 15 actual minutes with you in a one hour lesson.

I think $225 is a good price for private lessons at one hour a piece. You should also like the instructor and see if you think they are right for the style of riding you think you would like to excel at (English,Dressage, jumping, western and so on).

Good Luck and remember to have FUN :)

  11. nope i pay 25 dollars a lesson for english riding.

  12. not bad

but how long are the lessons?

  13. I don't know, it depends on the barn's facilities, horses and coaching.

Still, for intro lessons that sounds like quite a bit. I would expect to pay about 20-30/lesson around here.

  14. no thats great! i pay exactly that much for a 2 person hour and a half lesson and $360 for six private hour long lessons. I WAYY prefer the price of the 2 person one!

  15. no

  16. That's a pretty good price. I pay $40 for a lesson (1 hr).

  17. that is expensive i ride western and for 6 lessons i would only have to pay $180 I could get about 8 lessons for that price

  18. This price sound right.  If you do private lessons then the price will be higher.  If you want cheaper lessons try doing group lessons.
