Does 'bugger' = the f word???

In Europe, is 'bugger' the equivalent of the f word in america? I want to say bugger, but I don't want to if that's what it means.

I have mostly seen bugger used as the equivalent of the f word in England.  As the other answerers have said, there are other meanings but they are almost always derogatory.  Adding this word to your speaking vocabulary will not be a chic or cool inclusion.

More like "bummer", I think. Depends on the context, but I've heard "bugger" in kids movies so it can't be that bad.

bugger means anal s*x, but is not as offensive as that implies, you usually use it if something has gone wrong, if something is broken you say its buggered, ps britain isnt all of europe you silly bugger
