Does 'mighty putty' really work?

ohkay, i always see these mighty putty comercials and i wonder if they really work. like on the comercial they say that they can hold 3hundred&fifty lbs. but can it? and can it pull an 80,000lb. 18-wheeler like the comercial says.? but can it? and does it smell bad? just please tell me if it works.

it works but not as good as it says......try 20lbs instead of 350lbs and try 200lbs instead of 80,000lbs

Current Consumer Reports says it actually does.

"Moderately mighty but pricey. Good on plastic and metal and fair on wood."

other similar products, Devcon Plastic Steel, Loctite Sumo Glue and Elmer's Ultimate are stronger and cost less.
