Basically what I want to know is that if someone drinks a certain quantity (say 100 ml) of alcohol 'neat', and another person drinks 100 ml of alcohol by mixing it in soda (i.e. it's diluted), will the former person have faster and/or more influence of alcohol than the latter (who also drank equal quantity of alcohol)? If yes, then why so?

  2. actually no. the carbonation in soda speeds up the absobtion rate in the body.

  3. Try it yourself....alcohol absorption is also an extremely case by case basis and the food in your stomach makes a difference too.

PS- mixing bourbon with anything is alchohol abuse. it's disespectful to the whisky.
