Does 60%Cotton and 40% Polyester Get Fluff Balls?

I'm getting a 60% cotton and 40% polyester hoodie http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat90048&productId=prod3170164

and sometimes polyester gets little fluff balls and i was wondering if this hoodie would

  1. It can , it has to do with the fibers as they are spun prior to the knitting or weaving, so there really is no guarantees.

    It is most likely the cotton that is forming the pilling ( or the little fluff balls) , since the fibers are shorter in length. I prefer for sweatshirt type clothing a 50/50 of cotton/polyester. The shrinkage is less in 50/50 and polyester keeps its color.

      Fleece ( 100 percent poly) is another story , again having to do with the way the fibers are "spun" there are anti pill fleece and worth the price.

I have one of the exact fiber content and it pills mostly on the fleece lining.  Wash it inside out, cool water, mild detergent with items of the same or lighter weight to prevent it.  I discovered this tip from Linda Cobb Talking Dirty with the Queen of Clean and did it on hubby's hoodie from the start.  It didn't pill nearly as bad as mine except where he rubbed the arm on the inside against the body of the hoodie.
