I was just wondering if there would be any point in studying both if they are very similar.

  1. A level Maths is ideally required for A level Physics

    but

A level Physics is not required for A level Maths

  2. Very much so!

There are 2 sides to maths at A-level, Pure and Mechanics. The pure deals with all the number theory as well as the hypothetical problems and trigonometric theory too. Whereas Mechanics deals with forces, actions and reactions, such as kinematics, this side ties in very well with physics and in my experience make the whole physics course a whole lot easier!

    Josh.

  3. im doing a level physics this year as yr 12 and its much easier than a level maths, because physics is more logic and problem solving. and maths is harder because you'll approach things more straight forward.

my advice- dont do both at the same time, and choose physics.

there are better job oppurtunities it you finish a science.

  4. Yes of course! But approaches are different. Try it!!!
