On both sides I am sure we all know about his house that uses far for energy than needed and natural gas ect ect. But this came up in todays news. Al Gore had another Speech about the Environment and Global Warming. He encouraged everyone that was attending to Take Public Transportation , Walk, or Ride Bicycles to it.

Yet the news followed him to the event. and before for that fact.

Al Gore, his wife and his daughter, had 3 vehicles waiting for them. They got into 1 vehicle! Two (2) Lincoln Town Cars and 1 SUV both running for over 20 mins with A/C on, waiting for Al Gore.

So why is it that he talks about how badly we are treating our environment, yet he pulls this kind of cr@p daily?

  1. obviously not...

You're right...Let me add more: he eats to much (no conservation) and he flies a private jet (most polluting thing one can do).

  2. No he doesn't. He's in it for the money. Imagine what he's earning today for all the speaking engagements he does.

  3. Al likes money. Lots of money. Your money. Money for jet fuel to pick your pocket of money.

  4. because he's a d**k, and gives the reasonable environmentalists a bad image. I really wish he'd stop trying to force things on people and just go back to simple, kind persuasion. Or just stop altogether.

  5. I think Al Gore does practice what he preaches.  He has solar panels on his roof He has been wanting to put them on his roof since about 2001 when he moved in but Nashville wouldn't let him. He has talked to them many times and they would always say no to him. Finally, last year they changed the rule and they told him he could put up solar panels but only where no one could see them. SO HE DID, he now has 30 panels on his roof, of course he would like more but because they would be seen from the road he can't. Is his house big? Yes. But did he build it himself? No. He bought a used house which is a lot more green than if he had one built. If he did not live there someone else would and chances are they would not be living there as green as him.

Often at "events"  the people in charge of the event are the ones who organize the cars, Al Gore might have had nothing to do with that, he can not control everything, but things he can control like his home, he has, and continues to make green.

  6. So completely true.  Al Gore hasn't shown the least interest in helping others only on pointing fingers.  The man needs to walk off into the sunset and let his career be over - just another hanger on.

  7. He's letting you know that what he preaches will never apply to him personally.  He's as phony as a four-dollar bill.

  8. People are not perfect, but it doesn't mean that we don't have to follow his advice. He may seem like a hypocrite to some, but so be it. We are not.

  9. You're absolutely right. People like Al Gore think that they are better than everyone else. It's like he thinks that everyone else below him should never drive a car, but he gets to guzzle huge amounts of gas on a daily basis. Sure, we should help stop global warming...but of course "practice what you preach" should definitely be a concept to follow.

  10. Big Al's message is right on but the messenger is just flat wrong, it should be someone like Willy Nelson who really does walk the walk and not just talk it!!
